Artignosc, at 515 m altitude, located near the Verdon Gorges and a reservoir created by a dam EDF enjoys each summer many tourists come here to appreciate the beauty and calm of the place. Vacationers are attracted to water sports on the Verdon, but also by the superb and very well protected region because of the efforts of the municipality in terms of improvements and renovations have helped to dramatically beautify the village.
Main Street, recently renovated, is lined with old houses in a remarkable state of preservation. The ancient castle of Thoron (fourteenth and twelfth centuries) is now occupied by City Hall. This walk consists of two parts, for a total of 9km route was conducted by the association "Land and People of the Verdon", supported by the Regional Natural Park of Verdon.
The first path is called "loop source of Ranks" and is 3.5 km with 8 stops, the second, the "Old Mill Loop and Long Throat" extends over 5.5 kilometers and has 6 stops .
These walks are circulating in the hills or in Artignosc even in the footsteps of adjustments made in 1706 on the course of the spring that feeds the village fountain. Each path is filled with wood panels, four of which are illustrated for more detailed information for walkers.
