The village of Bauduen this one of the most beautiful environments available. Backed by a steep hill, this village is so typical of Provence, from the impoundment of the dam of Sainte Croix, laid directly on the lakeshore.
With a population of 309 inhabitants and situated at an altitude of 475 meters, it houses for holiday tourism fond of water games or rides in a copy. It is now the mainstay of this village previously used for agriculture. Located in the heart of the Verdon Regional Park, Bauduen has indeed preserved landscapes offering exceptional walks to all nature lovers. The scents of Provence will be the ride. Typical Provencal village of medieval times, Bauduen preserved over the centuries its disposal in an arc around a rocky outcrop. The picturesque streets lined with houses, some of which retain mullioned windows, will reveal many testimonies of its long history. You will discover the church of St Peter and St Paul, Romanesque building, or the walls and a tower as old as the fifteenth century. But also a former oil mill, whose walls are part of the former castle of the village.
Also noteworthy, a sundial in the nineteenth century, proudly bearing the motto of Louis XIV : "Nec pluribus impar" (Above all (like the sun)).
